Lynch Opens Pay Station in St.Maarten

Lynch, who is also a Business Instructor at University of St. Martin, said his business idea had been inspired by a discussion held by the late Vance James on his radio program "Food for thought" on May 11, 2005. It aims to solve the growing issue of waiting in long lines for long hours to pay various monthly bills.

Pay Stations are booths that will be located at various supermarkets such as Lido Food Group, Le Grand Marche, Afoo and several others, where persons can pay their bills through a third party, avoiding the long lines. A Pay Station card is needed. Once all monthly bills are entered on the card it can be used at the booths to pay the bills in cash or through a credit card. A cashier will be stationed at every booth to book payments and return receipts of payment. Persons interested in obtaining Pay on Bush Road next to The Daily Herald for more information oh the procedure.

Lynch said he had already been contacted by interested entrepreneurs in St. Kitts and Dominica to expand the business idea there. As the service is Internet-based, payment of bills can be done anywhere in the Caribbean where a Pay Station booth is available.
