Georgie's Gourmet Galley in Simpson Bay

For the last 9 years Georgie dreamed about opening her own gourmet store on Sint Maarten. For many years, as a manager of the Simpson Bay Yacht Club she was particularly fond of the friendly contact she always had with her customers. So, when she got the opportunity to acquire a business in Simpson Bay directly opposite the Simpson Bay Yachtclub, it was only logical that she finally took the courageous step to independence.

It was from the outset essential for Georgie not only to offer a wide range of high quality delicacies in a Mediterranean-style store but foremost to give her business that personal touch and service that set’s her apart from her competition. And, I have to say, after only a few days it already looks like a resounding success. Gerogie's sense of high quality combined with her love for great food, her lust for cooking and an extensive collection of inherited traditional Greek and Italian family recipes, ensured from the first day she opened her doors that the flow of customers wont cease. Not to forget, last but not least especially the support of her family helped her to succeed. Her husband was on hand with everything necessary to build the store and her always friendly daughter Danielle stays day in and day out with her in the kitchen and behind the counter.

As a novelty on the island you can find here in Georgie's Gourmet Galley in addition to an extensive range of Italian and French delicacies also a variety of homemade Greek specialties, salads and appetizers. Everything is cooked by Georgina herself after traditional family recipes she inherited from her Cypriot family. Georgie and her Daughter Danielle prepare every day fresh in the small kitchen of Gourmet Galley their delicious, homemade delicacies and salads from regional and seasonal ingredients. For Lunch you get daily changing meals for the quality-conscious with ingredients fresh from the market.

You also have to give the delicious Rotisserie chicken a try, and don’t forget to spoil your palate with the offered selection of Italian ham and cheese.
