St. Maarten Best Business Plan Competition

Economic Affairs Maria Buncamper-Molanus encourages young business entrepreneurs to enter the Junior Chamber International (JCI) St. Maarten Best Business Plan Competition.
The competition is open to entrepreneurs ages 18-40. Three documents are required to enter: a completed entry form, an executive summary and a business plan for the creation of a new enterprise, endeavour or social activity designed to create positive change.
"Time and time again, our island has proven itself to be resilient under adverse conditions. Its backbone, economically,
has been the small- and medium-size businesses a number of which are run by young entrepreneurs," the Government Information Service quoted the commissioner as saying.
"Young entrepreneurs represent the future of our island. It is the aspirations of a small developing country which dares to take on the world because that is what we have been doing and will continue to do," she added.
Deadline for submission of the executive summary and business plan is May 17.
