Belly Dancing With Elisa at Port de Plaisance



Elisa is originally from Lebanon where she learned all about belly dancing. Fascinated by belly dancing, she followed courses with renowned professors, In the year 2000, she started to teach her own courses in Lebanon, she was a professional Belly dance teacher in her country up until 2005 and then left for Paris. In Paris, she continued giving courses at a Gym studio.

Today she brings her knowledge of belly dance to St. Maarten where she teaches at Port de Plaisance (Princess Casino).

Belly dancing is not only a dance of the belly; it is an essential form of discipline The benefits of belly dance are both mental and physical. Dancing provides a good cardio-vascular workout and helps increase both flexibility and strength, focusing on the torso or "core muscles," although It also builds leg strength.

Many belly dance styles emphasize muscular "isolations," teaching the ability to move various muscles or muscle groups independently. Veil work can also build arm, shoulder, and general upper-body strength, and playing the zils can build strength and independence of the fingers. Belly dance is suitable for all ages and body types and can be as physical as the participant chooses.

This dance in general is practiced mostly by women, but more and more have been taking up belly dance courses lately. There are many styles of belly dancing depending on the origin country. Sign up for belly dance courses now with Elisa.
