The Divi Resorts Group says its Divi Little Bay Beach Resort in St. Maarten has completed renovating 150 of 210 deluxe oceanfront suites and all remaining suites will be fully renovated by December this year. In a statement Wednesday, the group said the renovations included a complete redesign of the resort, featuring new furniture of rich dark woods, tile flooring, kitchen cabinets and appliances, granite countertops and plush duvet bedding.

To accommodate the growing demand for vacation ownership at Divi Little Bay, the resort has converted its hillside casita units into nine luxury one-bedroom suites and one 1,900-square-foot three-bedroom premium suite, the "Presidential Casita."

Thirty-six beachfront hotel rooms have also been converted into 12 one-bedroom and four two-bedroom oceanfront suites. These new units will feature premiere amenities that include LCD flat screen TVs, iPod docking stations, kitchens with granite countertops, whirlpool tubs and more. These premium suites will be available for occupancy at the end of this month.

Toucan's Restaurant - fronting one of the islands most scenic beaches - will be redesigned in Fall 2008. The group said

Divi Little Bay Beach Resort had been voted one of the top "Bang For Your Buck" resorts and "Best Family Vacation Resorts" in Caribbean Travel & Life's Best of the Caribbean Readers' Choice Awards 2007.

The group also announced that it would continue its aggressive renovation plan at its affiliated resorts throughout the Caribbean.
